Fedora8 Intel 最新ビデオドライバ | Latest VideoDriver

Fedora8でX4500グラフィックを内臓したG45、G43、G41チップのオンボードビデオをXウインドウで利用する場合、新しいG41では起動不能、G45と43は起動可能ですがやがてフリーズしてしまうでしょう。
これは、G41がソースに定義されていないためであり、フリーズするのはGTTメモリのサイズが間違っていることによるものです。

この問題は次の手順により解決します。

1) kernel-2.6.26のソースを当方が修正を行った以下のファイルで上書きしRPMパッケージをリビルド&カーネル入替え（-forceオプション）
・intel-agp.c (G45 G43 G41)
・i915_drv.h (G41)
・drm_pciids.h (G41)

2) 当方が修正を行った以下のxorg-x11-drv-i810ドライバをリビルドインストール
・xorg-x11-drv-i810-2.4.3-3.fc8.src.rpm

    Intel Integrated Graphics Device, G45/G43, Q45/Q43, G41

　※2.4.3より新しいバージョンはFedora8のlibdrm-2.3で使えません

3) システムをリブート

When X4500 onboard graphics with built-in G45, G43, G41 chip used in X window of the Fedora8, The New G41 non bootable, G45 and 43 it will freeze then I can start.
This, G41 is not defined for the source, and Cause wrong GTT memory size freeze.

This problem is resolved by the next step.

1) Rebuild RPM package and update(-force option) kernel-2.6.26 to overwrite the following files on the source of fixed
・intel-agp.c (G45 G43 G41)
・i915_drv.h (G41)
・drm_pciids.h (G41)

2) The following were fixed xorg-x11-drv-i810 driver rebuid-installation
・xorg-x11-drv-i810-2.4.3-3.fc8.src.rpm

　※Versions that are newer than 2.4.3 cannot be used with libdrm-2.3 of Fedora8.

3) Reboot your computer
